There are many alternatives to the standard Microsoft applications, many of them come from the free software community and are free to download, install and use.

• Web-browser

• E-Mail client

  • Pidgin - Pidgin is an easy to use and free chat client used by millions. Connect to AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and more chat networks all at once.
• Microsoft Office
